This skein is 236 yards, 3.9 ounces and 3-ply, made of merino wool, and was grown on our farm. The fiber took two years to make into yarn at Stonehedge Fiber mill in East Jordan, MI. We dyed it on the farm and it took up the red (yellow mixed with magenta) dye in different ways. The result is crimson, pink, a little orange and bright red. We call it two-toned, but it will knit up with several hues. Squishy soft and lovely!
